Warren Reed is the Founder, Chairman, and Managing Partner of OppZo, an AI-powered fund manager headquartered in Miami that is dedicated to financing growth in underserved communities and Opportunity Zones. Under his leadership, OppZo has raised over $260 million in equity and balance sheet capital to create accessible, mission-driven funding for small and medium-sized businesses—especially those serving government contracts and distressed markets. By leveraging advanced underwriting technology and a permanent investment structure, Warren is driving a new asset class that aligns investor returns with measurable community impact, aiming to deliver $550 million in projected interest savings and impact more than 150,000 jobs over the life of the fund. Warren’s prior experience spans both Wall Street and government service. He started his finance career as a derivatives trader at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital, where he developed expertise in structured capital markets. Later, he was appointed during the Obama Administration to the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Financial Research—leading a national program to assess and monitor financial system risk, supporting the Treasury Secretary and Financial Stability Oversight Council. He then joined JPMorgan as Executive Director in the Wholesale Payments division, where he co-founded a team that built AI-driven data products for Fortune 500 clients and developed new strategies in cash management and payments innovation. Warren holds a Master’s in Data Science and Informatics from New York University and a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University, where he served as class president. Inspired by his family’s legacy in government contracting, Warren founded OppZo to address funding disparities and create sustainable, long-term growth for businesses and communities nationwide.
